Some of the games and Blu-rays available today can cost in the region of £40-50, with the average disc repair cost being just a couple of pounds, it is clearly better to take a disc that has been scratched in for repair than giving up on it and eiter putting it to one side, or replacing it.

The only exception to this is copied discs, which are probably cheaper just to re-burn and which may be believed to be pirated and not accepted by retailers.

There is nothing stopping you taking all your treasured DVDs, albums, games and photo discs in to your local repairer, either for a spruce up if they've got a few scratches, or to repair those that you believed to be lost forever.
